how to blue book my yairi?i need help 1966 Yairi model 250 nylon

nylon string Yairi model 250 sold in 67 to my cousins hubby sold on telegraph ave in Berkley CA, he gave it to me last Christmas any way subject to conversation I would like to know what its cash value is or could have been ? its got the best tone /action i have ever seen on a classical guitar sounds like a shoot gun just huge deep lows and bright sustianing highs amazing here is the sound hole if you can read Japanese and help me any way you can i would appreciate it

Not to detract from the entertainment value of this thread, but the original text is either Kanji, Hirigani, or Katakani, I'm not sure which (each character per word, each character per letter, each character per vowel sound). So unless you have a Japanese keyboard this translator won't do much good.

But maybe you already know this :)

Paul, I have the same model. Mine was made in 1964 and bought in London for around 20 pounds in the same year or maybe in 65. I kept with it for about two years and then moved onto a steel-stringed Levin. The Yairi was put away in my attic, never to be touched again when about a year I decided to start playing guitar again after a 30 year break. I remembered I still had the Yairi, had it restrung, and was amazed at the incredible tone. I’ve been playing it ever since. Like yourself, I would love to know what it is worth.

When I bought the guitar I hadn’t got much of a clue on that front, but a friend of mine who was studying at Goldsmith College in London, who also played guitar, knew his woodwork! He suggested I travel down to London and he would help me choose a model. I still remember him staying not to be put off by the fact that it was “made in Japan” and that the craftmanship was excellent. Twenty pounds in those days was more than a week’s wage for a youngster like me!
