Hello.
I have an old but nice Brazos 6-string guitar.
It has some spots on the fretboard within the
first 3 frets where the dark brown finish has worn
to show the lighter wood beneath. How can I refinish
this cheaply and easily?
I have attached a photo as well.
Thanks in advance for all your help.

Good afternoon Arthur.
Congrat's on your purchase.
Here's all you need:
http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Finishing_supplies/Colors,_tints,_and_s...
You may also be able to find it locally at an equestrian supply store or a shoe repair shop. Simply clean the fingerboard with the cleaner of your choice (I remember you posted about that subject earlier) and follow the directions on the bottle. It works like a charm.
Best of luck with your project (:
Why bother? These are signs of attention and use, and are perfectly welcome. Leave them there. There is always a chance that you will regret any action you take, but if you do nothing, then there is no regret. Play hard!
I buy mine at the local 'tack' shop. Horse supplies and such. Totally amazing stuff ...
Where I live there are no saddle or horse supply shops, so I went on-line and got it
at a great price off of Amazon.com
You guys were right! This stuff is awesome, fixed it up in no time at all.
That bottle will last me for decades too, I didn't need to use much at all.
Thanks again for your suggestion. Frets.net saved me again!
