FRETS.NET

I have been using the crank-neck Gurian fret file for years. I just discovered today that it doesn't work all that great. the results are OK, but it's a lot of work to use it. Which diamond fret file do you guys like and why? I want to order one, but haven't decide which one.

Look at you ,,Go look in the mirror,

All we here on this sight is the Praise of Stew Mac a Hight priced company that has done Nothing but raise there prices ,

You know what`s funny when a few people found out where the manufacture was located to have these file made AT the same place stew mac has theres built ,,The whole world comes undone on this sight ,

And remember to support your other Ebay sellers to ,A lot of the repair tools sold there are NOT outsourced But built in there AMERICAN shop!!

I think half of u work at stew mac ,,hummmmmmmmmmmm

You People started it !!    Nice to see you all have lots of Money to spend ,,

So next time you take a dump take the only Magazine u read ya u know which one ,,

And wipe your pride with IT

I use the StewMac diamond files too, the ones with the rounded nose. They're excellent, and well worth the $100 they cost. And incidently, I have StewMac tools for over $3000, and they're worth every cent: I live in Germany and have to pay through the nose with shipping, sales tax and customs charges, and I still think they're worth the money, even with the extra costs. I haven't found tools anywhere else that are remotely as good as the StewMac stuff, apart from the few tools that I have from LMI.

And a message to bob macorcinaail , or whoever you really are: You're full of sh*t: go and spam somewhere else, and stop wasting everybodys time here.

And I concur with Mike Kolb: What you said about stewMac is just pure bullsh*t: their service is second to none, and I've never been disapointed with any of their tools. On the single occasion that something was missing from an order,  (from a total of 36 orders over the years), one phone call was enough: They expressed the part to Germany in 3 days, at their cost, and re-imbursed me for the extra costs incurred with Import duty and sales tax too!

Grahame

There u go folks You herd it all today

Why was Germany ,Russia and China The only ones Not at the UN decision to help the humanitarian situation in Libya

G   Bite your tong sir ,,,,

Germany has never helped outside there country on the war against terroristic aggression in this world or better yet Plaint ,,

But your country is good at covering up there past ,,

Um, Frank?  I realise it's Sunday, but we have a Loose Cannon Event...

Okay, I'll bite - do you have any specific recommendations? I've bought several tools from Ebay, and the quality has varied tremendously, from decent to pure crap.

Also, which Stew-Mac file did you have the problems with? If this is going to be helpful, particulars are needed.

Wow Bob, I admire you. I never could get desired results with that Gurian thingy, half the time the burr wouldn't stay in the handle. But it has come in handy on occasion.

I've used the Stew-Mac offset diamond files for several years and they work great! The one time I contacted them to see if there was any kind of recommended maintenance, they offered a (totally unsolicited) free replacement. By the way I'm still rockin' my originals.

Thanks for that bit of information and bull crap Mr Stuart ,

From Ebay, to Libya, quite a jump. And ad hominem, to boot!  The avant-garde spelling & punctuation is just icing on the cake.

This should be a caution:  Always take your meds!

Yeah,  "Sir"Jeffrey, I figured skipped meds have something to do with it too but then some people just get off on trolling web sites.  There's probably an instability involved somewhere.

"Sir" Ned

Did u know that Sir Jeffey can put a Lump of Coal up his rear and crap one of the best Diamond files known to man kind.

And thats just icing on the cake
