I'll be taking a much-needed "vacation," starting on Tuesday, May 31.

First stop will be Kaiser's Cardiac Spa in Santa Clara, where I'll be treated to a triple bypass and mitral valve repair/replacement.

After about a week, it's back home to Recovery Adventure Land for a month or so.

(Guess it's too late to apply for different parents with better DNA.)

Right now I don't know when I'll be back on the air, but they tell me I may use my laptop while I'm in the hospital, so it might not be all that long.

In the meantime there will be an obvious delay in approving new members, answering questions and suspending the occasional spammer.  I serve FRETS.COM from my home computer, so if somebody kicks the power cord loose, I'll plug it in soon as I'm back.

Cheers, and THANKS, friends,  for all the good wishes - especially Michi Matsuda and Carol Tao for the special good luck items brought in from Kyoto and Tokyo  -  -  -

FF Stay strong sounds like the Dr knows what to do my Aunt had 3 stints last month and her recovery was like 3 days and she was back running strong again Happy Memorial Day

Lotsa luck with the plumbing work Frank - I've truly enjoyed both the .com and .net Frets sites and know that the community as a whole wishes you the best of rest and recovery.  Hopefully the laptop will provide sufficient distraction  - I'm afraid the docs and nurses would go crazy as you improved, rebuilt and refinished your bed <grin>.

it may be time for an I Phone FF this way you can hide it under your pillow
Good luck Frank, hope it all goes to plan.
Speedy recovery vibes going out to ya,Frank!!

Atta' boy.... take good care and godspeed to a 100% recovery.  Resist the temptation to tell the docs about better ways to clamp, splint, reset or -heaven forbid- hot glue!

In the meantime, I'm certain the boys and girls will be on their best behavior while "dad's outta' town".  Hurry home, OK?

Best of luck Mr. Ford.  Our collective prayers are with you.  You'll be back at the bench in no time (:

I hope things go smoothly and well with your operation Mr Frank.
I'm sure I won't be the only person praying  for both you and that surgeon's hands Frank.

Here's wishing you the best of outcomes and a speedy recovery!

Best WIshes and Prayers to you!
Let me add my best wishes to you, and recovery!  Modern cardiac luthiery is truly a wonderful art!
