Just completed, an electric guitar that incorporates recycled bicycle parts.  You would have to know something about Davis California to understand the project.  Davis considers itself the bicycling and recycling capitol of the universe. Thanks to Steve Nowicki for assistance with welding and artistic input. It actually is conformable to play despite its looks, just over 8 pounds, balanced and the SD tube pups sound great. I, too, am a former resident of the PRD.  I was both a Davis Bike Club member and a guitar player when I lived there, '81-'86.  But where is the acoustic bike guitar?<G>

I still have a DBC Racing Jersey in a drawer, somewhere.

So... for act two you could make two additional versions:  A "Schwinn" version that weighs 40 pounds and is destined to go into mass production in China...

And a Trek Madone version that weighs 16 - 18 pounds, is made of carbon fiber, and the player has to partake of mass quantities of steroids and do blood doping while no one is looking.... ;)

Got to see this beauty in person yesterday - it turns out that Harrison is mere blocks away from my house!

What a nice guy, what a great guitar, and what quality work. Harrison is the real deal - clean work, quality tone, fantastic construction of new guitars and solid work on old ones, and absolutely stunning fretwork. It was a real treat to visit the shop of someone who really gets it, and who is also a nice guy with a sense of humor!
