A jig for every single thing he is doing. This is ... mindbogglin...

Thanks Kerry. That is good fun!
I've been enjoying this Hofner bass video. The part at around 8:30 where a guy cuts the fret slots with just a saw is amazing.
(The music is horrible though.)
Look really close ahead of where he's cutting - he's just drawing the saw through the precut slots to clean out sanding dust that's packed in there. . .
Really? I though I saw divots to start the slots, but didn't see precut slots.
Great. Next you will tell me that there is no Santa Claus.
It does bring up the major difference between being a guy in a garage repairing and building stuff on the weekend, and people in a factory - they have practice and major chops in limited skill sets, and I have to almost relearn everything every time I do it.
Kerry - that's a cool video - lots of good technique there. Fixtures, yes, but modest ones really - stuff most of us could make up for ourselves. . .
Hi Kerry,
What I like about this approach is that this guy has taken his time to minimize his outlays with basic good tools and techniques, used really basic easy to get gear and provided a lot of inspiration for new builders with limited resources. A good sound, rather complicated 101 build - nice.
