So.......Somebody snapped the bullet truss rod nut off....Snapped the rod clean off at the washer...Maple bound neck, so surgery under the fingerboard was out...I've seen the truss rod rescue kit, and have made my own, but there was no room for that...Thought about routing the heel behind the anchor, and removing and replacing the rod...Then a lightbulb turned on in my pointed little head...The anchor was visible, luckily, and I decided to remove some wood in front of the anchor and try to shove it forward enough to get some thread....Two holes drilled in front of the anchor hogged out enough wood to get in with some small chisels and make room to move it....It worked !...A heat press to staighrten the neck, and take care of the initial problem, and make it so the rod didn't have to work so hard, and replaced the bullet nut, and bingo...All fine and good !...Just thought I'd share this...
